Motorized Louvered Pergolas Designed for Georgia Living
Open the roof to welcome daylight. Angle the louvers for shade and airflow. Close them when greater rain protection is wanted. A motorized louvered pergola gives your outdoor space the flexibility to respond as the day – and Georgia weather – changes.
StruXure Georgia designs each system around the home, the property, and the way the homeowner plans to use the space.
COMFORT THAT CAN CHANGE WITH THE MOMENT
More Control Over How You Live Outside
Unlike a fixed canopy, a motorized louvered roof can change its position throughout the day. That flexibility makes it possible to balance openness and protection without choosing only one experience.
-
01
Adjustable Sun and Shade
Rotate the louvers to bring in morning light, create afternoon shade, or reopen the view of the sky later in the day.
-
02
Airflow Without Full Exposure
Angled louvers can preserve ventilation while reducing direct overhead sun, depending on orientation and conditions.
-
03
Designed Rain Management
When closed, interlocking louvers and the integrated drainage path are designed to manage rainwater and provide greater protection for the area below.
-
04
Convenient Controls
Available remote, wall, sensor, and approved smart-control options can make daily adjustment more convenient. Compatibility varies by selected system.
THREE WAYS TO CONFIGURE THE SPACE
Attached, Freestanding, or Screened
Freestanding Pergola X
A freestanding motorized pergola can establish an outdoor room away from the house—beside a pool, within a garden, over a patio, or at the center of a backyard gathering space.
- Flexible placement based on site conditions
- Defined four-sided outdoor room
- Suitable for pool, patio, lawn, or garden concepts
- Compatible features considered during design
Home-Attached Pergola X
An attached configuration creates a smooth indoor-outdoor transition while accounting for rooflines, doors, utilities, drainage, attachment details, and structural requirements.
- Supports indoor-outdoor flow
- Designed around the home’s architecture
- Useful for patios, decks, kitchens, and dining areas
- Site-specific attachment and engineering review
Pergola With Retractable Screens
Motorized screens can add insect control, privacy, glare reduction, or solar management while retracting when a more open view is preferred.
- Screen selected by the problem it needs to solve
- Can preserve flexibility and views when retracted
- Coordinated housing and finish details
- Wind, use, and maintenance guidance provided
HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS
From Open Sky to Greater Protection
The canopy uses motorized aluminum louvers that pivot within the frame. When open, they invite daylight and air through the roof. As they rotate, they change the amount and direction of shade. When fully closed, the louvers work together as a weather-resistant canopy and direct water toward the system’s drainage path.
The best louver orientation depends on the sun’s path, the direction of the structure, surrounding trees and buildings, and the activities beneath it. That is why motorized pergola design starts with the property rather than a standard product size.
Sensors and controls may add convenience, but they do not replace appropriate operation, maintenance, or attention to severe weather. Homeowners receive guidance for their selected configuration at project handoff.
“I work from home and now I work outside half the day. The louvers track the sun automatically, the fan keeps it cool, and it closed itself during a storm while I was on a call. I didn’t even notice it was raining until I saw the puddles on the lawn.”
DESIGNED AS ONE SYSTEM
Integrated From the Beginning

Motorized Louvered Canopy
The overhead system provides adjustable control of light, shade, airflow, and roof position through the approved controls supplied with the selected configuration.

Drainage Planning
Water movement through the canopy, frame, and site is considered as part of the overall design rather than treated as an afterthought.

Lighting Integration
Available lighting can support dining, conversation, circulation, and atmosphere while maintaining clean structural lines.

Fans, Screens, and Heat Options
Compatible comfort features can be coordinated according to the model, electrical plan, intended use, and project scope.

Operation, Care, and Support
The final walkthrough covers controls, basic care, weather considerations, and the appropriate contact for future service questions.
